Reading and Comprehension

We are dedicated to helping students of all ages and skill levels develop strong reading and comprehension abilities. We create a supportive and engaging learning environment to foster a love for reading and improve overall comprehension skills.

Individualized Assessments: We begin by conducting thorough assessments to identify each student's reading level, strengths, and areas for improvement. This allows us to tailor our tutoring sessions to meet the unique needs of each student.

Personalized Lesson Plans: Based on the assessment results, we develop personalized lesson plans that focus on enhancing reading skills such as phonics, vocabulary building, fluency, and comprehension strategies. We take into account the student's learning styles, interests, and goals to make the lessons engaging and effective.

Game-Based Education: We implement game-based education where most rote material is presented in games or interactive kinesthetic learning based for a more on a more hands-on learning process for the neurodiverse individual or learning disability intervention. 

Reading Comprehension Exercises: We provide ample opportunities for students to practice their comprehension skills through a variety of texts, including fiction, non-fiction, and informational articles. We guide students through close reading, critical thinking, and answering comprehension questions to strengthen their understanding of the material.

Vocabulary Expansion: A robust vocabulary is essential for reading comprehension. We employ various techniques to help students expand their vocabulary, such as word games, context clues, and word association exercises. We also introduce strategies to encourage independent vocabulary development. For nonverbal students, we encourage thesaurus technology to encourage vocabulary development through writing by using assisted technology to help develop a stronger vocabulary base to express emotion and individual expression.
